Atty. Ina as she is more fondly called, has been in  public service for more than two decades, having held office in all branches of the government – legislative, judiciary, and executive. These include both appointed and elected positions. 

Her last government post saw her finishing her tenure as Commissioner of the Philippine Energy Regulatory Commission (July 2013-July 2020). Previously she was  Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Department of Energy (DOE) and held the rank  of Undersecretary  for three years. She  handled the administration of the operational activities of the offices of the Electric Power Industry Management Bureau and the Energy Policy & Planning Bureau while concurrently being the Chief of Staff.

A seasoned professional having a distinguished career spanning the public and private sectors, with a primary focus on the energy industry, she can very well leverage her extensive government experience, particularly as Undersecretary of the Department of Energy, Commissioner of the Energy Regulatory Commission and now as consultant to the Philippine Senate  Committee on Public Services and the Committee on  Migrant  Workers.   She is likewise accredited by  the National Electrification Administration in partnership with the NEA Training Instutute to conduct  lectures/workshops/discussions on various energy related topics and issues.  Other engagements with international development agencies and consultancy groups have kept her schedule full in the post pandemic period.

 Her endeavours have demonstrated a profound commitment to advancing sustainable energy policies and regulatory frameworks in policy formulation, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.  She has played pivotal roles in shaping the direction of energy governance in the Philippines.  Even as she declares blissful retirement after more than a quarter of a century in government service, her expertise now continues as she extends providing expert consultation, delivering comprehensive lectures, and hosting public affairs programs to educate and engage diverse audiences.
